"Tub Trawling" by Eben F. Comins, Rock Neck Studio 1912-1945

Dear Artists, Makers, Galleries, and Friends:

You’re invited to participate in (or to share the word regarding) a free, North Shore Art sale at The Gloucester House this February. Showcase your work, tell a friend, or come make a purchase from 11:30am until 8:00pm, February 5th through the 8th. Visitor’s admission is free, artists showcasing is free, and all sales are yours to keep. The restaurant will be open for a glass of bubbly, for lunch, or for dinner if you’re hungry.

As February tends to be a cold and slow month on our beloved Cape Ann, we’re encouraging people to get out, shop local, and consider art as a Valentine’s Day gift this year. Our ad in the newspaper (GDT) will start next week and the copy is loosely:

Chocolate goes to your waist, flowers fade, and expensive dinner dates are never long enough. Show the special people in your life how timeless and lasting your love is this Valentine’s Day with a piece of art. The Gloucester House will be showcasing a collection of North Shore artists’ work on February 5th through the 8th. Support the beauty of Cape Ann, keep your dollars local, and make this a most memorable Valentine’s Day.

If you’d like to participate, please give us a call at 978-283-1812 or email us at thegloucesterhouse@gmail.com. We’re asking participants for the medium per piece and total number of pieces they plan to enter — anything goes! Further, pertinent details will be shared with participants.

Please feel free to forward this post.

We are looking forward to hearing from you.
